The Columbia Gorge Tourism Alliance is organized as a tourism network – a relatively new organizational structure. This is why Nicole Wähner, in her role as a project manager and network coordinator for CGTA, took it upon herself to study the acceptance factors of network members. The research was stewarded by Network Director, Emily Reed and an academic supervisor of the Harz University of Applied Sciences. 

Nicole was awarded a Bachelors of Arts in International Tourism Studies in recognition of her studies. It is her second tourism degree after receiving a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration with a Concentration in Tourism from Southern Oregon University.
